Greetings to Sonic fans. I am with a review of new Sonic Frontiers. In this game, you will experience 3D gameplay which is always fun to play.
Rating: Steam 9/10
Platforms: Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S, Microsoft Windows

Genres: Platform game, Fighting game, Action-adventure game
Design and changes:
From the announcement date that it was clear that Sonic Frontier is a 3D adventurous game. Its an open world gam so, You can explore different areas on the map. There are various zones to explore, and each has its aesthetics, from lush green valleys to desolate desert plains.
This is a unique combo, yet it fits the science fiction theme of the game really well. Another significant factor in the game's tonal change is the environment. Sonic's original, brilliant primary color has been swapped out for high-contrast, low-saturation pastel colors.
Sonic Frontier's look, open-world design, and music are inspired by The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild. The gameplay of Sonic is nothing like Zelda's; still, you can see how much the sonic team is inspired by it.
Gameplay and Levels:
The gameplay on each island follows the same pattern, which involves eliminating mini-bosses. You also collect cogs which are used to unlock Cyber Space Levels. By completing levels of different stages, you get vault keys, which unlock Chaos emeralds that allow you to turn into Super Sonic and defeat the Titan on each island in the battle.
During the game, you will also come across a few mini-games. That will grant you access to upgraded items and uncover several map locations. Short platforming sequences will give you memory tokens that will grant you access to Sonic friends, which is necessary to advance the plot.
Map:
A map with numerous markers is there in the game. The game subtly leads you toward intriguing points, whether on the horizon or a set of conveniently placed ramps and boost pads that will lead you to a platforming phase. To advance the game's story, you must collect various memory tokens at multiple points. However, you naturally gather these tokens as you go through the game's area, so you will always find them.
Frontier's skill tree:
Sonic Frontier still needs to be more to uphold the whole game, although it is disappointing that it runs out of steam toward the end. Combat is rare, but at least it is spaced out, so you are not just using the Sonic's homing attack to eliminate everything in your path. In the start, you can only do a basic one-button combo and a stomp attack and evade incoming attacks. Slowly, however, you will be able to unlock more abilities through Frontier's skill tree.
Conclusion:
You may disagree that a character like Sonic does not need a skill tree, and it here feels excessive, considering you unlock every move as you progress in-game. There is no contemplation over specific skills to suit a unique play style, so the skill tree comes off because it is the same, even if it does not fit. There is an fps loss for console gamers.
You may get bored since you will b playing same pattern gameplay for each stage or island. The excellent news is boredom may only happen once you reach the final or fifth island. The mini nature of every activity helps you stay engaged with the game. The various variety exists in almost everything you encounter, enemy types, environments, challenges, and so on.
